Building Purchased for Workshop
The former Harahan Garage building was purchased as a permanent home for Papa's Workshop.

Occupational License Received
Papa's Workshop received zoning clearance for the workshop at the new location, 9025 Jefferson Highway. Papa's Workshop also received the Occupational License from the Sheriff's Office.

Building Permit Applied for
The process for acquiring a building permit has become quite involved over the years. We were informed that certified architectural drawing and Fire Marshall approval was needed before the building permit would be issued.

Building Permit Received
The permit to begin remodeling the shop has finally been given. Fortunately (or unfortunately) there are no major projects in the shop; the focus can be on remodeling the shop.
- May 4, 2011
Fire Marshal Inspection
The Fire Marshal inspected the building and found no deficiencies. The next step is to complete the "punch-list" to prepare for final inspection.
- June 1, 2011
Remodel Essentially Complete
The electrician has one item to complete from the "punch-list" and can then call for a final electrical inspection and then the final building inspection.
